- Qualification for the Certified Psychologist Examination (***)
* Students must pass the national exam that is given in January every year to be qualified as a Certified Social Worker or Mental Health Social Worker.
** We have ended the Kindergarten Teacher’s License Type 1 program as of the 2019 academic year.
*** In order to obtain the qualification for a certified psychologist examination, it is necessary to first have completed the required undergraduate courses, and then either have completed the courses required to enter the graduate school, or have two or more years of practical experience in a prescribed facility. You also need to pass the national exam, which is held yearly.
Only students in the Department of Human Welfare are able to study to obtain the qualification for childcare workers, or a certified psychologist.
Only the following three types of multiple qualification combinations are possible. (Except for transfer students.)
(1) “Qualification for the Certified Social Worker examination” + “Qualification for the Psychiatric Social Worker examination”
(2) “Qualification for the Certified Social Worker examination” + “Qualification for Childcare Worker”
*If you are to obtain “Qualification for the Mental Health Social Worker”, you must also aim to obtain “Qualification for the Certified Social Worker” at the same time, so you would choose (1).
*Those obtaining the qualification for a certified psychologist may not obtain other qualifications.
